Last weekend Iron Mind played shows in canberra and newcastle, heres some photos i took

The show we played in canberra was a house show which are always fun first band whose name i cant remember covered Her Nightmare which was pretty funny to see, I Exist killed it this band has the potential to be one of my favorite australian bands in the near futur, after the show neil tbone and i went out to party and we were back home 30 mins later thats how exciting the place is canberra is quite a boring and ghetto looking place, bummed out on not being able to get fireworks.

We arrived in newcastle at 2pm on saturday and the place was dead, nothing was open no one really out and about on the streets it was a creepy feeling, We ended up headlining the newcastle show which is a first for us, glad to finally see Ill Brigade these guys were a tough act to follow they exceeded all my expectations and playing some rad covers siked to be playing with them again in melb and adelaide, after the show we went to a 7 11 and some 10 year olds tried to pick pocket us and then accused us of stealing from their uncles store good kids, not much to do at night in newy so we stayed in and watched the office, good night

Iron Mind are off to Adelaide and Sommerville with 50 Loins this weekend, stay tuned.

Welcome to my blog ive never had any reason to make one of these im not really big on writing so youll mostley be seeing photos, maybe this will my first and last post maybe it wont i guess we will see how it goes.

So last weekend some friends and i drove to sydney for the last no apologies show heres how it went down

we all met up at daves house at 4am

  Our first stop was at the glenrowan maccas i think everytime ive driven

to sydney i have stopped here and probly gotten hotcakes every time

 We arrived in newtown and went to the resist store and picked up some records and stuff, we called neil and othes in the other car to see where they were turns out they got lost and are on the other side of sydney! So we went to the venue and chilled out for a bit then bet up with the others at oporto in newtown dave dodds jonno and i went to burger fuel it was awesome dave got a milkshake spilt it all over the table, on the floor and some on me so he just chilled and had what was left of the milkshake and watched someone clean it up i think i was half delerious from lack of sleep because i couldnt stop laughing for a good 15 20 minutes after it happend, we met up with the rest of the guys at oporto and made our way to the hotel.

 We got to the hotel and it was 1 bedroom and 9 of us cramed in i got a spot on the fold out couch booya! so dropped our bags off some had a shower then we were on our way to the show.

we got to the show and the line was huge so we cut in half way haha got in caught up with some interstate mates The Hollow opened so i watched them and they were pretty good, i didnt watch persist and 50lions just wanted sit down and hang out, watched miles away they ruled as usual they covered bad brains and the wrong side i dont think this band has ever done a cover i didnt like, next was No Apologies the reason why we travelled to sydney, sad to see this band go in my opinion the made one of the best releases in aust hardcore and thier set owned kids went crazy and they covered judge which was awesome, at the end of the show we pretty much went straight to the hotel because we were wrecked, after some shitty sydney traffic we got to our hotel had baked beans for tea at 1am along with some oreos and ginger beer then got some z’s

Woke up at 5am with a blood nose which was abit crazy would have loved to see the look on the cleaners face to find thier white sheets with blood them haha, everyone eventually woke up we left the hotel at 6am

we stopped for breakfast after a few hours of driving i got hot cakes from hungry jacks i didnt even know they made them they better than maccas ones got a fair bit of sleep on the way back which ruled, what didnt rule was zac gross as fuck farts all the way back.

so that was the weekend all in all it was pretty good, went too quick though

also i was way too wrecked to go to work monday morning so i called in sick and ended up getting fired which im pretty pissed about but then again i hated the place and was working my ass off for 15 bucks an our so maybe its for the best.
